Liquefied natural gas (LNG)is a liquid hydrocarbon mixture based on methane, and its molar components are about: C1 80%-95%, C2 3%-10%, C3 0%-5%, C4 0%-3%, and C5+ trace. Naturalgas must be purified before liquefaction, that is, water, carbon dioxide(CO2),hydrogen sulfide (H2S) ,mercury, and heavy hydrocarbon, etc. must be removed to prevent damage to the device and block theheat exchanger, pipeline and valve in the liquefaction process; then liquefy the natural gas at very low temperatures approximately-163℃. In its liquid form, natural gas shrinks to less than 1/600 of its gaseousstate(at atmospheric pressure),making its transportation and storage more efficient.
