Product performance
EDTMPS is an organic polyphosphonic acid containing nitrogen, which is a cathodic corrosion inhibitor. Compared with inorganic polyphosphates, the corrosion inhibition rate is 3~5 times higher. It can be miscible with water, non-toxic and pollution-free, has good chemical stability and temperature resistance, and still has good scale inhibition effect at 200℃. In aqueous solution, it can dissociate into 8 positive and negative ions, so that multiple metal ions can chelate to form a network of large molecular complexes with multiple monomer structure, which are loosely dispersed in water and destroy the normal crystallization of calcium scale. EDTMPS has good antiscaling effect on calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scale.
The scope of application and use
EDTMPS is used as corrosion and scale inhibitor in circulating water and boiler water, complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating, chelating agent and oxygen bleaching stabilizer in textile printing and dyeing industry. When added separately in circulating cooling water, the general dose is 2~10mg/L. It can be used for water treatment in low pressure boiler after being mixed with HPMA in proportion of 1:3. EDTMPS can also be used in combination with BTA, PAAS and zinc salts.
