Etching is the roughening of a selected area by directing a high pressure,high speed steam at the surface of the glass/crystal.
As the grains of abrasive hit the selected area,a “frosted” of effect is produced.

A: Why is there minor air bubbles in Pate-De-Verre crystal awards?
It is feature of the technique of Pate-De-Verre products.When the crystal glass was molten in high temperature about 1000℃,the air left in glass material gap becomes the minor bubbles.
