Properties
Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate is a white crystal exists in two monoclinic crystalline forms. Its melting point is 42.7℃, and boiling point is 132℃. The density is 1.89g/cm3, water solubility is 1290 g/L (20 ºC). It can supply both Nitrogen and Calcium which are both essential for quality and optimum yield of horticulture crops.
Benefits
Nitrogen and Calcium are both essential for higher yield and better quality of crops.
High level of Calcium present in Calcium Nitrate results in non-acidifying conditions in acid soils.
Nitrogen as nitrate anion (NO3-), the most available form of nitrogen for plant uptake.
Calcium is an essential element for the growth of plants. It is responsible for the distension and the consistency of the vegetative tissues and helps cellular permeability.
Calcium is used to improve tissue consistency, flower fertility, stress resistance.
Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate prevents the pathogens from calcium-deficiency and it assures a better preservation of the fruit.
Application
Soil application: 7-12 kg/ha
Foliar application: 3-5 g/l
