What is glow in the dark powder?
Glow in the dark powder, also known as photoluminescent powder, works by absorbing surrounding light and slowly releasing this light. Products that use this glow in the dark powder can glow in the dark for years as long as they are exposed to sufficient light. Its initial brightness is high. This fades off as long as it is in the dark. Expose it to light again and it starts glowing in the dark again. Though glow in the dark power works when exposed to any kind of light, best light source would be anything that contains Ultra Violet rays in them.
What can this powder be applied to?
Actually the powder can be applied to anywhere you want. But most clients apply them to plastic injection molding, paint, glass, ceramic, spinning, ,mosaic, toys and crafts, etc. We have many types of glow powder for you to choose, which are in different colors and with different particle sizes.
1. Is the powder safe for skin?

2. What are the differences between the colored powder and other ones?
The colored powder is made from yellow-green, blue-green and azure powder. The three ones change from colorless to colored. But the colored powder has original color in the daytime, such as red, blue, pink, yellow, etc. So it changes from colored to colored. Due to this feature, we can apply it to make many colorful and eye-attracting products, such as toys and crafts. And we have 12 different colored powder for you to choose.
If the light source is strong enough, such as the sun or other bright lights, exposure for 10-30 minutes is ok. Place it in the dark it will begin to glow for 8-10 hours. For the first hour it reaches the peak light intensity. However with time goes by, it will gradully fade. So after 6-7 hours the light will be faint but in total dark it can still be easily seen by our eyes. Different color powder have different long time effect. Yellow-green is always the brightest and lasts longest.

Q: How to choose additives?
A: The main additives in the coating of light emitting agent include anti-sink composition and dispersant, etc. Never use heavy metal compounds.
Q: What should I note when I use Fluorescent Powder?
A: It should be prepared by using glass or enamel containers, Fluorescent Powder particle size should be as small as possible. The ratio better be between 30 and 60%. When mixing the powder with agent, do not grind. You should use the method of high speed stirring. The relative proportion of luminescent materials is 3.6%~4.0%, so it is very easy to sink through. The addition of anti-sink agent can prolong the luminous paint storage period.
Q: How to choose resin and varnish?
A: Resin should have good light transmittance, at the same time due to the Fluorescent Powder is weak alkaline material, so the resin is best for neutral or weak alkaline. If water-based resin is used to make waterborne coatings, the luminous pigments need to be specially treated. You can choose the resin and varnish varieties: epoxy resin, polyurethane resin (or varnish), amino varnish, polyester resin, acrylic resin, acrylic resin, acrylic polyurethane varnish (two-component) and light color alkyd varnish, fluorocarbon resin etc..
