Flask / Sand box is a necessary technological equipment in casting production. Whether the structure and size of flask are reasonable or not which is so important , so it has a great influence on obtaining high-quality castings, improving production efficiency and reducing labor intensity. Its structure and size of casting flask must meet the following requirements:
1. The inner size of flask / sand box shall ensure a reasonable sand consumption between mold pattern and the wall of the flask /sand box;
2. Tolerances of positioning devices shall ensure dimensional accuracy of castings;
3. On the condition of ensuring strength and rigidity, the structural dimensions of the box wall and the box belt should be favorable for adhering molding sand and also for shrinkage of castings. During use, the deformation of the sand box should be small.
