Application of Antimony Telluride Sb2Te3 powder:
Like other antimony and bismuth binary chalcogenides, the semiconducting properties of Sb2Te3 have been investigated. It can be converted to N-type and P-type semiconductors by doping appropriate dopants.
Compared with the single-frequency detection of pure Sb2Te3, iron-doped Sb2Te3 introduces multiple Fermi pockets, resulting in lower carrier density and mobility.
Sb2Te3 and germanium telluride (GeTE) form a pseudo-binary intermetallic germanium antimony telluride system.
Antimony telluride, like bismuth telluride and Bi2Te3, is used in solid-state refrigerators because of its strong thermoelectric effect.
