Solder Paste
Solder paste is a homogeneous mixture, which is a paste with a certain viscosity and good thixotropy. It is a mixture of alloy solder powder, paste flux and some additives. It is a homogeneous and stable mixture. At normal temperature, the solder paste can initially stick the electronic components to a predetermined position. When the solder paste is heated to a certain temperature, with the evaporation of the solvent and some additives, and the melting of the alloy powder, the solder paste reflows to make the soldered components and The pads are interconnected together and cooled to form a permanently connected solder joint.
Solder Powder
Welding powder is also called flux. It is mainly a powdery material that improves the weldability during the high-temperature welding of metals and alloys. By dissolving the welding powder, the fluidity of the material surface is improved, and at the same time, the melting point of the weld metal can be reduced. Powders contain different ingredients in them, and they also play different roles. The flux used for welding different materials is also different.
