Bluetooth v4.2
Chongqing Jinou Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., is established in Sept. 2000 and focuses on Bluetooth technology as a leader in China for 15 years. At present, Jinou has introduced Bluetooth V4.2.
The biggest improvement of Bluetooth V4.2 is that it can support 6LowPAN which is also known as low power Wireless Personal Area Network technology based on IPv6 protocol. This technology allows multiple Bluetooth devices to access the Internet or LAN via a terminal.
In smart home, Bluetooth V4.2 can reach that all the Bluetooth V4.2 devices access to smart home network without the need for mobile phone or PC, if one or two Bluetooth in the same room access to the LAN(local area network) access terminal (such as wireless AP--access point supporting Bluetooth V4.2 ).
In the field of commerce, Bluetooth V4.2 will also have a brilliant future. Compared with WiFi connection, Bluetooth connection has compact and energy-saving chip, and lower cost. As a result of direct supporting for IPv6, after accessing to the local area network, Bluetooth V4.2 devices can easily reach remote detection and control by Internet.
Another major improvement of Bluetooth V4.2 is the privacy level. Now the Bluetooth device will only connect to the trusted terminal, and the user can ask for permission before connecting with a stranger. This improvement can prevent users from inadvertently exposing their own position or other information.
Bluetooth V4.2 also make great progress in some aspect of transmission; now the transmission rate of the low power Bluetooth is about 650Kbps; in the past, it is 260Kbps. It is meaningful to increase the transmission rate, considering that the new standard will be mainly used in the low power network terminal.
If the existing devices need to be updated, users only need to update firmware. But if users want to upgrade the transmission performance, then hardware should be changed.
This means that a large number of existing Bluetooth devices may obtain new network connectivity by simple software updates. Jinou technology provides online upgrade, which makes the intelligent equipment fitted with Jinou Bluetooth module upgrade.
