Description Of Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is a kind of pre-stressed glass, to improve the strength of the glass, typically using a chemical treatment or physical hardening treatment method, forming a pressure in the glass surface, the glass surface exposed to external stress when the first offset, thereby improving the carrier ability to enhance glass itself wind pressure resistance, cold and heat resistance, impact resistance and so on.
Advantages of Tempered Glass
1. Security: When the glass is external damage, debris will become very small obtuse angle grains and difficult to cause harm to humans.
2. High strength: the impact strength of tempered glass (the same thickness of ordinary glass) is 3 to 5 times more than the ordinary glass, bending strength 3-5 times.
3. Thermal stability: Tempered glass has good thermal stability, can withstand the temperature is more than 3 times that of ordinary glass, can withstand 200 °C temperature changes.
Our production process is professional. These following aspects you may be concerned about:
1. What kinds of glass will be used?
We will use clear/ultra clear float glass for production, depends on customer's product need.
2. Should glass be tempered and what's the effect?
Honestly speaking, it depends on glass sizes/thickness.
To small size/thickness less than 3.2, we recommend chemical tempered(surface toughen by 6-7H).
To bigger size/thickness 3.2 or above, we recommend full thermal tempered.
Base on thermal tempered, the fragmentation test standard/ particle sizes/ quantity could be set base on different thickness.The glass flatness also could be asked after tempering.
3. What's the edge treatment could meet?
We could make direct cut(cut chips, cheapest), fine grinding(CNC) and polish edges base on your need.Plus, the chamfer / radius could be set.
4. What's the cut hole effect?
It depends on different thickness.
For thick glass, we usually use waterjet + CNC. And for thin glass, we use CNC for cut hole to make sure no breakage chips exist from hole edge.
5. Could irregular shape glass available?
There's no problem, because we will use shape cutting machine + CNC to make sure about the quality.
6. How's the silk print effect?
We received lots of praise in silk print quality base on import paints + auto silk print machine + dust-free room. Available in high temperature silk print (The paint melt into glass) and low temperature paint (Pass adhesion test). In addition, paint injection for holes, edges and grinded surface.
7. What's the surface treatment available?
AR (Anti-reflective), AG (Anti-glare), AF (Anti-fingerprint), sandblasted/etching available.
