Application
Bi2O3 bismuth oxide powder is one of the most important bismuth compounds. It is an advanced functional material with excellent dielectric property, high oxygen fluidity, large energy gap, high refractive index, significant photoconductivity and photoluminescence.
Bismuth trioxide pure products are “α ”, “β” and “δ” type. Bi2O3（α） is a yellow monoclinic crystal, with a relative density of 8.9g/cm3 a melting point of 825 ℃, soluble in acids, insoluble in water and alkali. Bi2O3（β） is bright yellow to orange, tetracentritic, with a relative density of 8.55g/cm3 and a melting point of 860℃. Bi2O3（δ）is soluble in acid, insoluble in water, and easily reduced to bismuth by hydrogen and hydrocarbons.
Bismuth oxide in the electronics industry, chemical industry, glass industry, plastic industry, ceramic glaze, and other material industry has a wide range of applications, such as electronic ceramic powder materials, electrolyte materials, magnetic materials, photoelectric materials, high temperature superconducting materials, catalysts, fire prevention materials (fire paper), nuclear reactor fuel and fireworks material, radiation protection materials, ceramic packaging materials, etc.
