It is the monohydroxy alcohol with the simplest structure. It is soluble in water and miscible in organic solvents such as alcohols, diethyl ether etc. As a kind of colorless and volatile liquid with alcohol smell, it can be obtained by the reaction between carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
1. Used for producing methyl formate and methylamine;
2. Used for synthesizing methyl-carbonate, ethylene glycol and methanol protein;
3. Used as degreaser and analytical reagent, such as solvent, methylating reagent, stratographic analysis reagent, etc.;
4. As energy and automotive fuel of good performance, it can be used in producing alkene and propene, solving problem of resource shortage;
