Made from discarded organic banana stalks
Banana paper is made from the fibers of banana stalks, which until now were only discarded at the time of harvest. Whereas normal trees grow in 10 to 30 years, banana stalks regenerate and grow within a year, so they can be used in a faster cycle.
Protects forests, wildlife and biodiversity *
Every year in the world, about one-third of Japan's land area is lost. Banana paper is made from banana stalk fiber and recycled pulp, or pulp from sustainable forests, which helps protect the forest. Forests are also a habitat for wildlife, including endangered species, which helps protect wildlife.
