Precautions during installation
Step 1.
1). Remove old pump and empty old hydraulic oil.
2). Flush the oil reservior and pipe. Check whether the reservior is damaged; check whether the filter screen is blocked; check whether the oil inlet hose is hardened or aging. Avoid impurities in the oil and the oil from turning black and opaque.
Step 2.
1). During installation, be sure to lock the clamp of the oil inlet pipe firmly in order to prevent any air intake.
2). Replace the sealing rings of the high-pressure oil pipe to prevent oil leakage.
3). Replace defective hoses; Be sure all O-rings or fitting seals are replaced.
1). Install the steering pump;
2). Fill up the oil reservior;
3) Do not turn the steering wheel after starting the engine. Let the steering pump circulates the oil first. Observe the oil and replenish the oil in time until it reaches the proper level. Turn the steering wheel until the installation is completed.
Old fluid must be flushed from hydraulic hoses, steering unit and hydro- boost (if so equipped). Power flushing is an option, but manual flush- ing methods are preferred. Regardless of technique used, all old fluid MUST be flushed from the system and then replaced with OEM- approved new fluid type. Failure to properly flush the system, and not using the correct fluid will VOID THE UNIT WARRANTY.
