9. How to Select the Conveyor Belt Core Material and Structure?
* The performance of the conveyor belt is closely related to the material, structure and number of layers of the belt core.
* The cotton canvas multilayer transport belt has low strength, great amount layers, is not fatigue resistant, easy to get mold and corrosion, with heavy weight, high energy consumption,
* The nylon canvas has a high strength, large elasticity, light weight, good impact resistance and bending resistance. Its troughing performance, mildew resistance, water resistance and other properties are better than ordinary conveyor belts with cotton canvas, but with a high elongation rate. When the tensioning stroke can be set to be longer, the nylon rubber belt is preferred to be used.
* The strength of the polyester core is similar to that of cotton. It has all the advantages of nylon belt. Its elastic modulus is higher than nylon ones, the elongation is small, and the dimensional stability is good, which is an ideal conveyor belt that commonly used in industrial industry.
* The steel cord conveyor belt has high strength, good trough formation, small elongation, and short tensioning stroke. It is especially suitable for large transportation volume, high belt speed, and long distance transportation requirements.
