Acid Black WAN is an acid black dye with a CI Name of Acid Black 52 and a CI Number of 15177. This product appears as a black powder. It can be used in paints and inks. It can also be used to dye paper, cotton and silk.

Acid Black WAN forms part of the range of black and brown acid-dye series, with a color index of 52 and strength of 150% and is characterized by its light fastness at different depths, leveling, good build-up and wet fastness properties. Although used mostly in the dyeing of fabrics, the product is also used in inks.
