Large fuel oil storage tank consists of tank wall, tank top, tank bottom and tank accessories. The oil storage tanks mainly adopt A537CL1, Q345R, 16MnDR, Q370R, S30408, SU30408, A516 grade 70, A516 grade 60 etc. steel grades. Large fuel oil storage tanks are divided into fixed-roof tanks, floating-roof tanks and spherical tanks according to structure.

API 650 Tanks Construction Standard:
API 650, API STD 650 Welded Tanks for Oil Storage, is the most widely used standard for global tank construction and procurement. API 650 tank is commonly used for oil, gasoline, diesel, chemical and production water storage. API 650 tanks are located in refineries, docks, pipelines and production facilities throughout the United States. API 650 specifies the design, processing, welding, inspection and installation procedures for storage tanks.
API 620 Tanks Construction Standard:
API 620 Design Standard is a specification for design and construction of large, welded, low pressure storage tanks. API 620 tanks are designed for metal temperatures not greater than 250 °F and with pressures in their gas or vapor spaces not more than 15 lbf/in. gauge.
API 12D Tank Construction Standard:
API 12D design standard is Specification for Field Welded Tanks For Storage of Production Liquids. It is one of the most famous three standards. API 12D standard is for on-site tank installation, API 12D predetermined tank size and storage capacity, as well as spare parts and test requirements. The need for further engineering has been eliminated by creating API 12D with fixed size and requirements, and the cost of storage tanks has been effectively reduced.
