ADEGA PONTE DE LIMA
The Adega Ponte Lima founded in 1959 in the town of Ponte de Lima – the oldest town in Portugal -, based in the Lima Valey, one of the most important region of the Demarcated Region of Vinho Verde at Northwest of Portugal, which due to the natural characteristics of their soil mostly granitic and also schist, with atlantic climate influence and varieties grown, produces recognized high quality wines.
All the wines of Adega Ponte Lima are produced with exclusive grapes from associated producers members of the company, ensuring the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde.
The Adega Ponte de Lima, which represents around 2000 growers, their families and workers, is undoubtedly the most important structure - one might say - the largest company in the municipality of Ponte de Lima.
Among white wines, Loureiro variety has particular importance due to its magnificient adaptation to the terroir of the Lima Valley, - its birth place - making wines highly appreciated for their aroma and for their organoleptic qualities.
