Ladle refining furnace is a kind of equipment with the function of heating and refining. After the ladle is hoisted into the vacuum tank, the steam jet pump is used for vacuum degassing. At the same time, argon is blown into the bottom of the ladle to stir the liquid steel. The hydrogen and nitrogen contents in the liquid steel can be removed, and the oxygen and sulfur contents can be further reduced. Finally, the liquid steel with higher purity and superior properties can be obtained.

In the 21st century, with the development of modern industry, new requirements for the quality of steel are put forward, so ladle refining furnaces are almost equipped in converter and arc furnace. In the process of refining molten steel, slag and alloy are added according to the process requirements, so physical changes and chemical reactions occur, resulting in a large amount of smoke and dust, which will cause pollution to the working environment and harm to biology. In order to achieve the ideal effect of smoke extraction and dust removal in the refining furnace, the maximum smoke discharge, smoke composition and smoke temperature shall be determined according to the technological conditions of molten steel refining. The flue gas quantity of the refining furnace is relatively less than that of the arc furnace and converter. In the past, the amount of flue gas produced during the reduction period of arc furnace was usually used to determine. However, the main reason for the exhaust gas of EAF is to combine the exhaust gas inside and outside the furnace. Almost all refining furnaces adopt smoke exhaust outside the furnace, which does not affect the temperature change in the furnace. At the same time, due to the attraction of external air, the flue gas temperature in the pipeline is lower. The furnace cover is smoke exhaust.
