How to choose the right plastic security seals?

There are several important factors to consider when choosing a plastic security seal. 

Seal length --- strap width --- flag size --- tensile

1)   Pull-tight adjustable length plastic security seal is one most popular design because of the variable length based on what you need. When you’re not sure of the last fastened length will be, you may choose such a design. 

2)   When you are sure of length of the plastic tamper seal after locking, and the seal can be something like a loop, and no need of pulling it very tight. In this case, you can choose a fixed-length seal.   Usually the trucks, tote container boxes, inflight catering carts, etc. will require such design of plastic security seals with fixed-length. 

3)   For pull-tight adjustable length plastic seals, when they’re not pull enough tight,  the seals can be cut and re-sealed.  While a fixed-length plastic seal cannot be sealed again when it is damaged.    So you need to choose the right type of plastic seals.

4)   After you have decided on adjustable-length seal or fixed-length seal, next step you need to decide the whole length of the seal you need.  Xinfan can provide plastic security seals ranging from 150mm to 540mm (5.9inch to 21.2inch).    If you need longer than this, we can provide ODM service to specially design for you provided that you have a considerable purchase volume.

5)   Strap width depends on where you will use the seal, especially when you need to insert the plastic seal into a slot of something to fasten it.  The slot size will give requirement on the strap width.  Xinfan can provide the plastic seals with strap width ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm. 

6)   Flag size depends on what marking information you need to include on the seal.   We have slim, mid-sized and big-sized flag for your option.  

7)   Tensile is one important factor when you choose the plastic seals as well. The tensile of Xinfan plastic seals range from 80N(18lbs) to 450N(101lbs).  There’re different locking mechanisms on our plastic seals, like single plastic locking mechanism, double plastic locking mechanism, single steel locking mechanism, etc.
