1.Applications:
THHN Building Wire is general purpose wiring in accordance with the NEC. The building wire is rated at 600 volts for installation in conduit or other recognized raceway. THHN Wire may also be used for wiring of machine tools, appliances and control circuits.

2.Construction:

600 V 90ºC / 75ºC Dry or Wet PVC Insulated and Polyamide (Nylon) Jacketed,

THHN Wire has a conductor of soft drawn bare copper.

THHN Wire has primary insulation of PVC with NYLON jacket.

3.Electrical properties:

THHN-THWN: 75°C Oil, 75°C Wet, 90°C Dry, 600V Voltage

THWN-2: 75°C Oil, 90°C Wet, 90°C Dry, 600V Voltage

MTW: 60°C Oil, 60°C Wet, 90°C Dry, 600V Voltage

Standards / Testing Specifications

THHN/THWN-2 conforms to following standards:

UL83 for Thermoplastic Insulated Wires and Cables (THHN/THWN-2).

UL758 for Appliance Wiring Materials (AWM).

UL1063 for Machine Tool Wire (MTW)   (stranded conductors only).

4.Product features:

UL listed Stds. 83 & 1063 as: Type THHN Wire 90°C in dry locations, Type THWN Wire 75°C in wet locations.

Gasoline and oil resistant II. Type MTW 90°C Machine Tool Wire (stranded only) 105°C AWM, 80°C where exposed to oil.
