They can be coupled with a prime mover directly or through V-belt, rotating right or reverse continuously at the rated speed. 5. When the revolution slip of prime mover is 3% and the load varies in the range of 0-100%, the power factor is 1.0-0.8, the constant voltage keeps excellent. After a sudden change (increase or decrease) of load, the generators will soon return to their normal working state. 6. The generator can directly start an unloaded squirrel cage induction motor without any starting devices.
