Introduction

Avian influenza is divided into different subtypes based on the antigenicity of its outer membrane hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N) proteins.

The H9 Avian Influenza Virus Antigen Gold Label Quick Test Card is a special detection reagent for detecting H9 subtype virus.

The H9 Avian Influenza Virus (H9-AIV) antigen rapid detection card uses rapid immunochromatographic detection technology

to detect avian influenza virus antigens in avian trachea and clonal swabs (or feces). After the sample to be tested is added to the sample well,

it is moved along the chromatography membrane together with colloidal gold-labeled anti-H9-AIV monoclonal antibody.

When the H9-AIV antigen is present in the sample, it binds to the antibody on the detection line and shows a burgundy color.

If no H9-AIV antigen is present in the sample, no color response is produced.

Operation method

1. Use a cotton swab to collect samples from the cloaca (recommended) or trachea. The cotton swab should be inserted into

the cloaca or trachea and wiped repeatedly on the inner wall. For young birds, cotton swabs can also be used to directly dip fresh feces.

2. Immediately insert the cotton swab into the test tube containing the sample buffer. Rotate the cotton swab on

the wall of the test tube at least 10 times repeatedly, and mix the solution to make the sample dissolve in the solution as much as possible.

Squeeze a cotton swab on the wall of the test tube above the liquid surface to make the liquid squeeze out as much as possible and discard the cotton swab.

3. Let stand for 1-2 minutes to allow large particles to settle.

4. Remove the test card from the sealed bag. Place the test card on a flat surface, use a pipette to draw the upper clear liquid from the test tube,

and slowly and accurately add 5 drops to the sample well marked with "S".

5. Leave the result at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to judge the result.

Precautions

1. The supplied sample buffer must be used. Buffers from different manufacturers and products cannot be mixed.

Nor can you use saline, PBS, tap water, purified water, etc. as sample buffers, because non-supplied sample buffers can cause false (false positive or false negative) test results.

2. Products with damaged aluminum foil bags cannot be used. The test card must be used within 1 hour after removal.

3. Samples should be tested immediately to avoid long-term storage.

4. The collection of samples directly affects the accuracy of the test, so ensure that the samples are collected correctly and adequately.

5. Excessive collection of fecal samples will affect the normal flow of the liquid and lead to false results (black bands appear),

while too few samples may have false negative results, so please control the sampling volume according to the figure.

6. Avoid foaming when adding samples to the wells of the test card.

7. Used test cards should be properly disposed of in accordance with local pollutant disposal regulations.

8. Products that have expired cannot be used.

9. The used test cards and samples must be properly treated as pollutants in accordance with relevant regulations in various places.
