Septic tank Introduction:

The septic tank is a kind of equipment for treating feces and filtering and settling them. The principle is that the solidified substance decomposes at the bottom of the pool, the upper layer of hydrated substance flows into the pipeline, preventing the pipeline from blocking, and giving the solidified substance (excrement and other wastes) sufficient time for hydrolysis. The septic tank refers to a small treatment structure that divides the domestic sewage into compartments for sedimentation and anaerobic digestion of sludge.

Function of Septic tank:

The septic tank is a basic sludge treatment facility and also a pretreatment facility for domestic sewage. Its functions are as follows:

1. Ensure the environmental health of the living community and avoid the diffusion of domestic sewage and pollutants in the living environment.

2. In the working environment of anaerobic septic tank, kill the eggs of mosquitoes and flies.

3. Temporary storage of sludge, anaerobic decomposition of organic sludge, mature organic sludge can be used as agricultural fertilizer.

4. The pretreatment of domestic sewage (primary treatment), precipitation of impurities, and hydrolysis of macromolecular organics into acids, alcohols and other small molecular organics, improve the follow-up sewage treatment.

Technological principle:

Septic tank is a kind of treatment facility which uses the principle of sedimentation and anaerobic fermentation to remove suspended organic matters in domestic sewage, and it belongs to the primary transitional domestic treatment structure. There are a lot of faeces, paper scraps and pathogenic insects in domestic sewage. The solid concentration of suspended solids is 100-350mg / L, and the concentration of organic matters is 100-400mg / L, among which the concentration of suspended organic matters is 50-200mg / L. After 12-24 hours of sedimentation, 50% - 60% of the suspended solids can be removed. The precipitated sludge is decomposed by anaerobic fermentation for more than 3 months, so that the organic matter in the sludge is decomposed into stable inorganic matter, and the raw sludge which is easy to corrupt is transformed into stable mature sludge, which changes the structure of the sludge and reduces the moisture content of the sludge. The sludge shall be regularly removed and transported out, buried or used as fertilizer.
