The neutral point grounding resistance of the transformer is widely used in the secondary point of the transformer
secondary and the stator side of the generator. After connecting a resistor in series with the neutral point of the
equipment (or the neutral point drawn by the grounding transformer), the intermittent arc light is discharged The
electromagnetic energy in the overvoltage will reduce the neutral point potential and the recovery speed of the fault
phase will also slow down, thereby reducing the possibility of arc reignition, suppressing the amplitude of the grid
overvoltage, and enabling selective ground protection achieve.
It is mainly used for power transmission and distribution systems with a single-phase grounding fault and a large capacitive
current, and a small-capacity current, but is used to prevent the resonance overvoltage of power plants.
According to different capacitor currents, it can be divided into high resistance grounding and low resistance grounding.
At present, neutral point grounding resistance is widely used in urban distribution networks, large industrial parks, power
plants, offshore platform distribution systems, large chemical companies.
